Friesian Driving Experiences
 
The Friesian Driving Experience is run by Tracey Alexander and aimed at anyone with an interest in having a go at carriage driving with one of our Friesian horses. No prior driving experience is required as full instruction will be given before and during the drive.
 
Your time will include:
 
An introduction to the horse you will be driving
Time on the ground getting to know your horse and grooming them to prepare them for work
Explanation of the driving harness and how to fit it to the horse correctly
Demonstration on our 'rein machine' how to hold the driving reins and use them effectively
Explanation about the carriage and how to safely hitch the horse to the carriage
A drive round our quiet country lanes where you will have the opportunity to take the reins and drive yourself for up to an hour under Tracey's guidance
We take a maximum of 2 people on a Driving Experience

We are extremely fortunate to have local animal photographer Sandy Kitching on our doorstep.
