The Friesian Experience Overview
We believe in making our Experiences accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages and abilities.
No previous experience with horses is necessary. Our experienced team will be with you every step of the way.
We not only offer private Experiences year ‘round, but also hold a handful of public Events throughout the warmer weather months. Our Open Days provide an opportunity to get to know the horses, people, and environs of Greenbank Farm. Our Insight Days are limited enrollment and take a deeper, more focused dive into the Friesian breed and our horses as individuals--their personalities and any health and wellness challenges they face. On our Beach Days, we take a small group and several of the Friesians for a joyful romp on an area beach. Join our mail list (sign-up at the bottom of any page on our web site) and watch our YouTube channel and social media pages to be among the first to hear when dates get set. Stable Stays
The unique, self-catering overnight accommodation shared with a gorgeous Friesian or mini-Shetland horse. Sleeps three (not counting your stable buddy). Live the Dream!
NOTE: Due to renovation, Stable Stays is temporarily closed through the first half of 2026. If interested, contact us and we can let you know when dates are again available.
Meet the Horses Tour
One of our knowledgable staff will take you on a private tour to meet and learn about all our horses whether they're up on the yard or on pasture. Our temperature-controlled ATV, Arthur, provides comfy transport no matter the weather. Questions along the way are most welcome!
Friesian Yard Experience
Ever wanted to experience just what goes into providing care for the horses on a daily basis? Join us as we go about a day-in-the-life at the Sanctuary. You're welcome to pitch in, if an appropriate opportunity presents, or just tag along for both the routine and the not-so-routine. You may experience our care partners at work, whether providing new shoes, medical and dental care, or a physio or chiropractic session--whatever's on for the day.
