Berber joined us for several years in 2012 for training and preparation for inspections. She was the second foal from the now-Preferent Ster mare, Hedwich L, and a full sister to both Ster stallion, Wouter, and Ster mare, Doutzen.

She was backed as a four year old and proved to be a great horse to work with. Like many mares, Berber did have her challenges, but as she matured and understood the work, she proved herself to be very talented with lovely, easy movement. She was perfectly built for dressage, something that was confirmed when she got 77.5 points in the IBOP in 2013, the highest score of the day. That same weekend at the FHAGBI annual inspections, she was awarded 2nd Premie Ster status.

Following another year of work, we took her back to the UK inspections. We were delighted when the inspectors upgraded her to 1st Premie Ster and subsequently Kroon!

Berber returned to Friesland. Her breeder chose to sell her on, and we believe she has since produced a couple of colt foals.
