Ann Highton

Runner Extraordinaire
Graduate, Freya School of Stable Management

Ann began volunteering at TFE in November 2023 but confides that she had yearned to do so ever since attending the first Open Day and meeting the horses, Tracey and her amazing team. Since that time, she has earned her PhD from the Frey School of Stable Management, excelling in Poo Picking, Hay Net Filling, and Bin Emptying. Congratulations on this fabulous achievement!

Ann brings her energy, enthusiasm, and supportive nature to all she contributes to TFE. An avid runner, Ann partnered with Holly to do a fundraising run around Derwent Water, and supported Liesa in her fundraising quest to climb Catbells, one of the stunning fell walks of Cumbria.

Striving to volunteer on the yard once a week, despite her real job and the weather having other ideas, Ann loves the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of time at the Farm. When not there, she's constantly on the alert for ways to promote TFE and Greenbank Farm in significant ways. So if you have any fundraising ideas you could use an assist with, Ann's your willing partner!

We're delighted that Ann has chosen to direct some of her volunteer time and talents to benefit the Black Beauties!
