Chris is an exceptional farrier who regularly visits the yard to take care of our horses' feet.  He has looked after our Friesians since 2006, and during that time, has helped us deal with a number of challenges.  Whether it's a lost shoe, an abscess, imbalances in the feet, or looking at ways to support the general health of the horses hooves, Chris always has an answer for resolving any issues we may be facing.  We live in such a rocky, hilly  part of the world that experience has taught us the horses must be kept shod more often than not. Otherwise, they inevitably face  problems with bruising and abscesses.

Chris is not only a talented farrier, but has also created for us some beautiful wood-and-wrought-iron doors and a stunning double bunk bed for our unique Stable Stays accommodation.
