Jane Holden
Assistant Crisis Manager,
Foster Program Support
With serendipity in full swing, Jane first learned of The Friesian Experience when she and her husband availed of a stay at a friend's cottage on the edge of Cartmel. A look out the window presented her a vision of five superbly turned-out horses passing by. Love at first sight turned into return trips as many times a year as schedule and living several hours away allowed.
Over time, Tracey got to know Jane and her knowledge of and experience with horses as well as her intuitive sense. It became apparent that Jane understood and appreciated the detailed particulars of Tracey's approach to care of the Friesians.
Jane is Tracey's go-to person for horse care in case of crisis or on the rare occasion Tracey's away from the Farm for several days. As well, Jane has been helpful in assessing both horse and human in foster and potential rescue-and-surrender situations. While she may not be seen on the yard daily, and may not seek out the camera when she is, Jane plays a vital role for the organization, both tangibly and in the peace-of-mind department for Tracey and the team. Luckily, she's also in love with Hannes which also helps insure she keeps coming back again and again!
