Winter Rugs for Prince, Inne, Vienna & the Three T’s

With winter on its way, we’re looking to get some new winter rugs for Prince, Inne, Vienna, Troy, Wee Troy and Thistle.

Prince and Inne’s rugs are now a year older than the ones we bought for some of the other horses and, after two winters of use, they are beginning to lose some of their waterproofing. So it’s time to replace them to make sure Prince and Inne stay warm, dry and comfortable through another Cumbrian winter.

Vienna and the Three T’s: Troy, Wee Troy and Thistle also need winter rugs of their own, so we can make sure they are properly kitted out and ready for the colder, wetter weather ahead.

The Fryso rugs we use are specifically designed with the Friesian build in mind. They have extra room through the broader chest and shoulders, giving a fit that is much better suited to their shape. They are also fully waterproof, helping to keep the horses warm and protected from the weather while still allowing plenty of freedom of movement.

Good-quality, well-fitting rugs are especially important through our cold, wet and windy Cumbrian winters, so any help towards getting these six ready for winter would be very gratefully appreciated.

If you’d like to help keep the horses cosy this winter, you can sponsor one of their rugs! Each rug has space for up to four supporters’ names to be proudly displayed, so you’ll be right there with them as part of their daily comfort throughout the winter months.
