Sponsor the Memorial Orchard

We have long wanted to improve the Memorial Orchard to protect and enhance the growth of the trees under which our passed residents lie, to honor the life of each horse with a personalized plaque, and make this a welcoming, contemplative area for all. As promised, there's now an opportunity to sponsor this work in the name of one of these eight precious souls .

Earlier this year, our fencing guru, David, made, installed, and stained post-and-rail fencing around each of nine trees (sweet Vela, has both an apple and a cherry tree) and planted hundreds of Spring flowering bulbs to help remind us of the souls who remain such a part of our mission at the Sanctuary. This work has already made a positive impact during the past growing season, producing a crop of yummy apples on several of the trees. David will do additional work this Fall to put the trees to bed for winter.

The horse plaques are made of beautiful, durable, Corian engraved with each horse's name and information in gold lettering. Each will be staked near their respective honoree's tree and should stand the test of weather for a long time to come.

This sponsorship allows you to donate toward a specific horse, in your name or of a loved one. Or, if you want to make a general contribution, we will assign your sponsorship to one of the horses.

From now until December 1, we're able to offer a Founder Sponsorship at £85. Beyond December 1, this opportunity will continue to be available on our Wishlist at a sponsor level of £100.
